Understanding the Production Process

1. Preliminary Conversation – Let’s get to know each other. Call or email to schedule a 30 to 60-minute phone call or video conference. We’ll learn about your communications needs and answer any questions about the production process. Within a few days, we’ll send a proposal for next steps.

2. Research and Content Plan (Optional) – While we sometimes do one-off projects without a content plan, a long-term strategy allows us to be more effective and efficient with your resources. A content development plan

• gives us extra opportunity to understand your brand and communications needs
• allows us to reduce total costs by scheduling and capture footage more efficiently
• creates opportunities to scout your location and meet key individuals before filming
• start building a long-term content library that will reduce future content costs

3. Project Proposals – For each separate project, we prepare a proposal that provides detailed cost and scheduling information.

4. Pre-Production Planning – The process of telling your story is a partnership and your team plays an important part in the planning. We recognize that your time is valuable too. We will work with you to minimize the disruption to your team and operations.

• Developing key messages and shot lists.
• Scheduling the people and facilities. Because production costs based on time, it is important to develop a feasible and cost-effective schedule.
• Site Selection and Preparation – Identify locations for filming and anticipate any operational or filming challenges.
• Preparing Team – Identifying and prepping individuals who will appear on camera.

5. Production – Our team will typically arrive 1-2 hours before the shoot to prepare the location and set up the necessary equipment.

6. Post-Production – Editing is often the most time-intensive aspects of a project, as hours of footage are view, reviewed, and condensed into just a few minutes of footage.

7. Review and Approval – We work closely with you to make sure that the final product tells the right story. If we start with a clear vision and plan, the review process is much easier.
